Family: Anna and I were married on July 21, 2007.  Anna is passionate about cooking and enjoys trying new recipes.  She also loves to read, especially fiction novels like Lord of the Rings.  God has given her a heart for discipleship & missions. Over the years, she has had the privilege of discipling several young women and she has traveled to several sites overseas to share the gospel.  She completed her Master of Divinity in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth in December of 2006 and worked at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary until January of 2008 advising students in the Billy Graham School.  She is presently working at Texas A&M University-Texarkana and serves with the Kids ministry at CCC.

Story: I was raised in a Christ-centered home in Wake Village, Tx.  I was taught the great truths of the Christian faith from a very early age.   My parents, church, and a variety of other godly people modeled the Christian faith in word and deed.  There have been seasons of rebellion in my life but the Lord was gracious to me, opened my eyes and broke my heart so that I might see the glorious gospel.  Around the age of twenty I felt that the Lord was calling me into ministry.  I was asked to serve at FBC Wake Village as student minister and worked there for many years.  I had a desire to pursue further education and training and I was encouraged by many people to consider seminary.  In August of 2006, I moved to  Louisville, Kentucky to attend the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  I met Anna soon after and we were married the following July.  While at seminary, we sought to understand where the Lord was leading us.   We desired to plant a church and wanted to do so with a team.  After my graduation, in December of 2008, it seemed clear that there was a core group of believers in Texarkana that would be interested in starting a new work so we began discussing the possibilities.  On February 28, 2009 we returned to Texarkana and officially began Christ Community Church on July 12th, 2009.

Hobbies/Interest: I enjoy reading, tennis, fishing, and hunting.

Education and Experience: Graduated from Texas A&M-Texarkana in 2000.   Served on staff at FBC Wake Village for a little over eight years.  Graduated from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky in December of 2008.  Planted Christ Community Church in July 2009.
