This Sunday we will observe the betrayal, arrest, and trial before Jewish leaders.  Jesus willingly meets his end.  He knows that his time has come and he submits to the Father’s will.  The religious leaders are unable to find a valid charge against him.  He was silent throughout there false trial, but then he gives them one last warning, “But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The leaders will convict him of blasphemy and beat him. As we see our great king, as the suffering servant, may we rejoice in his great sacrifice to save us!
