The church was designed to be a community where people grow together. We desire to be a church where people will be challenged, encouraged, comforted, and blessed as they seek to know God and make him known in this present world. At present, we have sought to accomplish this in our worship services and through Sunday Morning bible studies. Another avenue that I believe to be very vital is through small community groups that meet in homes.
A community group is a gathering of people that meet to praise God, discuss scripture, pray, and help one another to think about how they are to live out the gospel in every area of life. We believe that these groups will be an added dynamic to our desire to help foster a spirit of Christ centered discipleship and missional living.
I recognize that this particular ministry is not for everyone, but for those whose schedules permit and who have a desire for this type ministry I hope that you will come.
We will start our first Community Group on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:30pm @5910 Sunny St, Texarkana, Tx 75503.
